Carole Patterson (LV/DVG President) has announced that both Gottfried Dildei and Joanne Fleming have qualified for the dhv Deutsch Meisterschaft, to be held September 22 - 24 in Marburg, Germany based on their performances at the 2006 DVG Bundessieger. Congratulations to them both!!!!!

This good news also brings some difficulties. The Meisterschaft is about three weeks away, leaving a time gap. Gottfried has decided to remain in Germany with friends and family in order to compete. Joanne has to return home in the interim, which would require another trip back to Germany. DVG America helped fund our competitors’ trips to compete at the Bundessieger, but has no funds to help these two competitors out for their participation in the Meisterschaft. Both of these terrific competitors and great DVG America representatives have agreed to cover their expenses while there, but need assistance with travel costs. Gottfried will have to cover the costs of changing his plane trips and charges for that, while Joanne will need to cover the cost of a roundtrip airfare back. KGs, clubs, and individuals are being asked if they could help in anyway. You can send a donation directly to:
