I had something very unique happen to me yesterday...This could be filed under "New Jobs for Our Dogs":

Yesterday as I was unloading bags of dog food from my truck and carrying them to my kennel, I must have dropped and lost my cell phone...about 30 minutes or so later as I was cleaning my kennel I saw one of my dogs..."Quatsch" with something in his mouth...I called him over to me and he sat in front of me as if to bring back an article on a retrieve, I gave him a command to "aus" and he gave me my cell phone...What a guy!...I have had dogs find my lost "pager" before but I had to page it so my dog could find it...but I have never had a dog find and bring back an article in this fashion...You never know what application will be applied using the training that we give our dogs...They really are our best friends and they are always looking out for us...By the way I now tell people that "oh yeah" I taught him to do that.
